Rancho Sahuarita’s Growing Appeal

Rancho Sahuarita is becoming (if it’s not already) one of the best values for overall communities in the Tucson area. Every time I sell a property in Rancho Sahuarita, I am amazed at how much better the community has become. The community offers many amenities for all age levels. Rancho Sahuarita offers a fitness center, Olympic sized pools, spas, a lake stocked with fish year round, several satellite pools, and parks. Home prices are very reasonable, and the community offers a wide range of builders to purchase from, floor plans, and neighborhoods to choose from.

Ventana Canyon Home Sets Record For Most Expensive Home Ever Sold In Tucson

A property in Ventana Canyon most likely set a record for the most expensive single family residence to ever sell in Tucson. The home was a 7,200 square foot structure located northeast of North Kolb and East Sunrise Dr. The home sold for $8,000,000, which included $1,000,000 in artwork and home furnishings that were included in the sale. The home also included a glass bridge walkway, an expensive patio, and a tile pool with a waterfall.

Fed Rate Cut

The Fed cut the federal funds rate by another .25% today after a .5% drop in September. What this means is that the Fed is trying to make a significant difference in interest rates to try to stop the slide in the housing markets across the nation. The Fed rate is the basic rate that the Federal Reserve charges for lending money to banks that in turn lend to the public. When the Fed drops its rates, banks almost always respond with a rate drop of their own to stay competitive with the other banks such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Key Corp, which dropped the interest rates of most of their products including credit cards, mortgages and home equity lines of credit.
