Tucson’s 85704 zip code is in area a larger zip code for the Tucson metro region with over 14 square miles in its range. With in the 85704 zip code many different types of real estate have been developed from new homes, older single family homes, luxury estates, condo’s, and even town homes. Generally speaking 85704 real estate is higher priced then the average Tucson real estate as it sits on the western edge of the Foothills and allows access to all parts of the Tucson metro region including Oro Valley, Marana, and The Catalina Foothills, as well as downtown Tucson.

As with most real estate markets in Arizona the 85704 zip code has seen home prices decline over the past couple of years. Prices have dropped roughly 30% for most of the properties located in the 85704 zip. The market is still in a slight decline yet homes are still selling as the 85704 is one of the most desired zip codes in the Tucson Metro region. While still over $100,000 more expensive then the “average” Tucson home this is still much less expensive then 85704’s much more expensive and exclusive zip code of 85718 that commands an average sale price of even today well over $400,000! So for those that want to live on the North side of town yet want to save a little money or cant afford to realistically purchase in Tucson most expensive zip buying in the 85704 zip code is a very reasonable and cost affective way to make that happen.

As with other Tucson areas on the north side of town the 85704 zip offers an array of homes. Some of the luxury properties sell for in excess of $1 million and sit upon one acre plus parcels of land. Other properties are new homes that are very affordable to town homes and condo’s also very affordable. In general the 85704 zip code is an older more established real estate center then other areas of town. Much of the 85704 zip code can also be refereed to as “Casas Adobes” one of the very first upper end shopping districts and residential districts between the Tucson and Phoenix areas back in the 1940’s-1970’s.
