KB Home is a national home builder with operations in 16 states (including Arizona) and is also one of the largest home builders in France. KB Home builds more than 25,000 homes yearly and is known for their very spacious floor plans at a low dollar per square foot ratio. KB Home is noted as a leading publicly traded home builder because of the extensive research that they do regarding customer demands in their homes. | Comments/Suggestions: I was not very satisfied with the construction process. It took 9 months longer then they told me. This home was purchased as a investment (flip). If it would have been completed on time I would have at least posted a profit. Now I am 70k under what I have financed. Customer service has been OK. I have had a few problems. They have taken care of pretty timely. | |

| Comments/Suggestions: My wife and I bought our home just prior to the "frenzy" in the market place. We bought it at a fair price and got the home and lot we wanted. The sales representative was awesome as well. As with any new home construction, we exptected and had some delays. My only regret is that we were not represented by our own realtor. During the construction process, it would have been helpful to have an additional set of eyes watching. It would also have been nice to have someone to help argue with the builder over things that went wrong. My wife and I became very stressed and felt as if we had to be the quality control for the builder. Finally, when the home was complete and we went to the final inspection to see that the "punch list" was completed to our satisfaction......what did we find? None of the items were complete. Our closing date had to be moved. The sad thing is, the only reason the items were not fixed is because my wife and I could not oversee the work being done. We were too busy with our own jobs. It would have been nice to know we had someone working for us, watching over our home. | |
