Lennar Corporation is a national home builder with a strong presence in the Tucson, Arizona area. The Lennar Corporation was founded in 1954. It is headquartered in Miami, Florida, and is one of the nation's leading builders of quality homes for all generations. Lennar builds affordable, move-up and retirement homes in communities that cater to almost any lifestyle - such as urban, golf course, Active Adult or suburban communities. Lennar builds homes in 20 different states, including Tucson, Arizona. Lennar is known for building there "EI" (Everything Included) homes. What this means to their customers is that all options with, typically, the exception of countertop colors, cabinet colors, and flooring colors, are already selected and entered as part of the base price of the home. The benefit of this is that customers do not have to worry about the potential cost overruns that can occur when they have to select each and every option. The motto is that you see exactly what you get and get "No Surprises" down the road -- where something you "thought" was included turned out not to be. The only real down side to this is that all the Lennars in the neighborhood look awfully alike (because of such few choices buyers get to make). Also, when re-selling a Lennar, you may have steep competition from the other sellers in your neighborhood since the homes will have (unless remodeled or significantly upgraded after move in) unbelievable similarities (due to the lack of customization). Your asking price will be of total importance to the buyer, since they may be able to buy another home in the community exactly the same as yours (differing only by to lot and customizations after move-in).
