Tucson's north side is also referred to as the foothills because of its proximity to the Santa Catalina Mountain range. The Catalina Foothills is where many in Tucson believe some of the most expensive and luxurious homes are located. Some of the bettern-known foothills real estate communities are La Paloma, Ventana Canyon, Foothills Clusters, Sabino Caynon, Shadow Hills, Skyline Country Club, Cobblestone, La Reserve, Sabino Springs, Pima Canyon Estates. Land and home prices range in the foothills. Some homes that need updating can be purchased relatively cheaply for the area. There are also many condos and town homes that can be purchased to keep the price down and still be able to call yourself a foothills resident. One the other side of the coin, the most expensive and expansive homes in Tucson are located in the foothills and can be great winter homes for buyers with a defined taste for the perfect residence.
