The southeast side of Tucson features many horse properties, and in the past couple of years has also provided some newer tract build homes in the neighborhood of Santa Rita Ranch, located alongside of the Santa Rita Ranch golf course. Southeast Tucson is located just a few minutes from some of Tucson's largest employers, namely Raytheon, IBM and Davis Monithan Air Force Base. Most properties on Tucson's southeast side are horse properties or homes that are situated on one acre or more. In addition, since Tucson's outskirts have been pushing further and further out, many people consider Vail Arizona (AZ) to be part of southeast Tucson. In Vail, there is the community of Rancho Del Lago, a golf based neighborhood. |
Many people love being out of the hustle and bustle of the city, but also want the feel of a larger, newer neighborhood and the lifestyle that comes with it. By far, the largest new neighborhood which has had an entire community built around it is Rita Ranch, with in excess of 5000 homes, new stores, banks, and all other services a large community needs. Rita Ranch has grown into a major destination for home shoppers looking to live on Tucson's southeast side. Other notable neighborhoods within southeast Tucson are: Coyote Creek, Mountain Creek Ranch, Rocking K Ranch, Rancho Cancion Estates, and Santa Rita Ranch Estates.
